Today was my first experience at Yummy Chinese Resturaunt. I did takeout. My order consisted of Hot and Sour Soup, Beef/Vegetable Lo-Mein, and the Chicken on a Stick (Popular in prior reviews) I agree with the majority of reviews that benefited Yummy Chinese. You really get good portions and GREAT price! My food was hot and delicious!(Even getting home) It is a small dining area for seating. When I was there they did have a few people eating there. Right after they left, they were really great about being tidy and cleanliness! Also, I believe I got lucky. They included with my lo-main some fried rice. (didn't request/no charge) For sure my fortune cookie and silverware were included. Yummy Resturaunt you made my experience very POSITIVE! I highly will recommend your business. Thank-you for feeding me!

Not great. The rice is my chicken fried rice was crunchy ,the honey chicken tasted more like orange chicken and I ordered shrimp tempura what I got was just fried Shrimp.. The shrimp spring rolls were ok

Travelling from Colorado we made a stop here. They don't have a big dine-in area, as you can see from my photos only 2 sides of dining area and table is very narrow. But I cared less for the dining cause the food was awesome 👌 it taste really good... the fried wanton was yummy...

I eat here at least once a week. The food is awesome. I tried the Coconut Curry Chicken yesterday. The best I curry I have ever tasted. Definitely a place for affordable, good quality Chinese food. Will continue to come back again and again.

I am particular about where I order my Chinese food. I took a risk one night and ordered Yummy worried I would be disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised that it was DELICIOUS and the dish I get was better here than any of my normal go to! From now on YUMMY is my #1!!! Delivery was friendly and food was HOT!

Good price for amount of food. Food is ok. They didnt give me utensils even though i asked for them. I paid extra for shrimp and only got 2 pieces of shrimp. Donuts were soggy.

I had to go back inside get my utensils. They didnt even give me my Sprite, didnt realize until I got home. And I paid an extra $1.00 for them to put shrimp in my beef lo mein. I literally got 2 pieces of shrimp. Wont be coming back

Had to share my experience with others who went to the competing restaurant down the street. You get more food for less money and the quality is always standing. Food that is supposed to be served hot is piping hot when you receive it not something that has been sitting and rewarmed in order for you to pick it up.

Carried out for lunch today for the first time. Food was ready in just 10 minutes, staff was very friendly when I picked up. Nothing out of the ordinary, but both dishes were very good, and pricing for a lunch with side very reasonable. Will definitely go back!

I have ordered from this place plenty of times, and I’ve had a few negative experiences with their staff. I’ve always downplayed them because their food is just decent. But today, I am fed up with the disrespect. Just a hour ago I ordered My usual from their restaurant. It was a delivery order per usual, but today was very different than all of the other times. I opened to the door to my food ON THE FLOOR. And the delivery man was standing there waiting on me. This has never happened to be ever and I surely don’t appreciate it. Do NOT eat here. They surely have lost a customer today. Im so upset right now.

Thought we would try this out. IT. WAS. TERRIBLE. I am currently sick to my stomach. One of us got a wrong order completely. Everything tasted old. The soup was so bland (and not hot). The food tasted like they used oil from months ago and like everything was just refried. So so annoyed I wasted my money on this disgusting food. I never leave reviews but this was the worst chinese food I have ever eaten. Dont waste your time or money.

Generally Pretty good food and service, however, I placed an order that said they would deliver within 45 to 60 minutes and I waited over and hour and fifteen minutes and called the store. They could not give me any info on when they would arrive and just said that they were on their way and might be there soon.

It's good for a cheap chinese restaurant. Only a place that you can order for delivery or takeout. They actually counters that you can eat on but I'd advise against it. Definitely an afterthought.

I wish I could give 0 stars. You should remove “yummy” from the restaurants name. Worst Chinese food ever. My husband bit into the egg roll and almost broke his tooth. I am very upset I wasted almost $30 on that garbage.

Hot, fast and excellent! I ordered the Orange Chicken for lunch. Sauce was amazing and the chicken was tender and juicy. Massive amount of fried rice as well that was very tasty. Staff was also friendly.

I stopped here on a whim for takeout and was very pleased. We had the Kung Pao shrimp, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and Crab Rangoon. Staff was friendly, service was fast, and it indeed was yummy. It may not be fine dining, but it was hot, fast, inexpensive, and tasty.

I have only ever ordered take-out from the restaurant. Although there is a small dining area I assume it is not used very often by the patrons. For food, I have tried 3-4 varieties of chicken(the spicy ones) and they were good. The dinner combination is a good deal for a one-time meal. The quantity of entrees in the dinner combos are almost half compared to the same entrees from the a la carte menu. An area where I could see some improvement is the amount of meats they use in the dishes. It is usually a pretty small quantity of meat with a lot more veggies as fillers.

I tried this place because they deliver and I'm tired of pizza. The entree was mediocre but acceptable but the eggrolls and dumplings I ordered we're obviously store-bought. The same kind you buy at Costco. I ended up throwing them away.
That kind of stuff won't play here. There's too much world-class competition in this area.
Get back to basics. If you cant make it from scratch, dont put it on the menu.

I have ordered from here many times and the food is always delivered on time and is always hot! The food doesn't have much flavor, its very oily. Their "spicy" is not even mildly flavorful. I most recently ordered their Pad Thai and it was repulsive. I asked for extra spicy and what I received was not that. I don't even think it had sauce on it. The noodles were so bland and dry and yet they were extremely oily. It had zero flavor and was definitely not pad thai. Super super disappointed.

We ordered our food at 8:15. It is now 9:50, and they closed 20 mins ago. We were originally told it would be 25 minutes. After 35 minutes We called back to confirm they had our address and they confirmed. Once it got closed to 9:30 we got nervous. Now we are just mad.
They did not deliver our food, and did not even bother to call to say they weren’t delivering it. Oh they accepted our money though. What a horrible company and horrible service. I’ve never had a company just simply Do a no-call no-show for a food delivery. Never ordering from here again, there’s other good local businesses who at least respect their customers enough to call them if they can’t make a delivery.

Best tasting Chinese food you can get in Overland Park. It is in a humble building with not much seating, but it is great to get to go. The meat is always tender and juicy, the rice is delicious, and they give generous portions for a very affordable plate.

Our Family has been enjoying their food for years. Always fresh and plenty of food. I believe they have recently changed management had a chance to speak with manager owner not sure he made me something that wasn't even on the menu yet it was yummy Chinese. The New Ownership at Yummy Chinese at 151st and Metcalf Ave., right next to Arby's In Overland Park is Wonderful. The Food has been upgraded at the Same Low price! The Fried Rice is Much better , I was Given a much Bigger portion and...The Staff is quite Friendly. Over all A Much Better product for The same Low Price...The Lunch Menu is a little over $5.00, and the portion is Huge! Delicious!!! A Big 5 Stars For The New Ownership At Yummy Chinese!!!

This was our go to Chinese when we wanted take out. Last time we ordered the fried rice was not as good as it had been. It had plan tasting with out the fried rice flavor we had come to expect. And i think the portion size has gotten smaller.

Love the food, cozy environment but I was disappointed with the lady who answered my phone call for delivery. She was speaking so fast and softly, and she yelled at me because I couldn't understand when she said "expression date" for my credit card. Shouldn't be yelling at costumers.

Great food! Always delicious, always polite, and their restaurant is very plain, but clean. I wonder if some people think they're rude because they don't speak English well? Or are calling it dirty because it has a plain, concrete floor? It's not a restaurant to eat in, delivery or carry out.

I placed a 50.00 order for delivery and I called back to inquire about the prices and the girl was extremely rude and kept asking me if I wanted to cancel the order. After three times of here asking me, I finally said yes. She could not have cared less. NO NEED FOR MY BUSINESS ANY LONGER. I have ordered from them before and have used them for their delivery service, this is mediocre chinese food at best and I will not be ordering from them again.

Super rude woman on the phone asking about a delivery order. They will not get any business from me with that type of rudeness. I simply asked if they deliver and she immediately said "it be one hour you will pick it up" then I asked about portion sizes and she laughed at me and said I was stupid because I thought a large order could feed 2 people. I told her she was very rude and she hung up on me.

This needs to be inspected and I am shocked it has yet to be shut down. The restaurant is FILTHY dirty. Absolutely the most disgusting restaurant I have ever seen. If you dare eat here I hope you have all your shots.
