Been coming here for many years its my #1 absolute favorite Chinese food restaurant, amazing food and service i've never once had an issue or complaint, Note that they are so good they get slammed at times so be patient and respectful please , Thank you King Chef!! We were regulars here for quite some time but that changed. The food is tasty and portion sizes are good however after they opened up post pandemic lock down we noticed the prices kept changing and it seemed to be weekly. Every time we would place an order they would ring up a higher price. When we told them we went off of their printed menu price they would say....oh, we increased our prices and new menus are being printed but we haven't received them yet. I don't believe this is even legal but non the less we stopped going here. While we understand businesses need to increase prices to stay afloat is was much too frequent for us. It's too bad because we were loyal customers.

Undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in Hernando county.
Great tasty fresh food, reasonably priced wide selection of meals, friendly and polite staff with excellent customer service! Try their "Lunch Specials", get some of the their superb soups and you will keep coming back for more, will be tempted to try anything on the menu!

They have the best take-out Chinese anywhere in my area. It's always fresh and hot and their staff is extremely polite. Also with covid, they now have delivery through one of the more common delivery services. Not sure if I'm allowed to mention them or not in a review so if you want to look them up it should come up who the delivery service is.

The food is meh. I judge a Chinese restaurant by their hot and sour soup. Consistency, flavor, heat, sourness, contents. King chef failed on all aspects of my judging but for heat. Bad flavor, jelly like consistency, few veggies, no sour taste. Not inedible but nothing close to good. The same general description can be made of the other items I've tried. Just meh. Can't tell if it is their recipe or just the constant yelling and surly attitude from everyone in the place but the two young girls up front. Not worth it.

Our favorite Chinese food around! The girls at the counter are always so friendly. The only complaint I have is the American lady at the counter, she’s always screaming and yelling at the one young girl. Very unprofessional but still give five stars because this is always our favorite! Great for and very generous portions

So yummy. I had the shrimp in lobster sauce (with meat) and the crab king is believe it was called. Big portions, definitely have leftovers! 1st meal while here on vaca and was 5 stars for sure!

We normally get our Chinese take out from another place but they don’t delivery. We didn’t want to go out so we looked on line and found King Chef. Delivery time was about half an hour. Food came on time. And to our surprise .... the food was AMAZING. Best Chinese food we have had in a very long time. The portions sizes were huge ... we all have enough left over for another meal. Highly recommend trying this place.

I absolutely LOVE this Chinese place. It is the best restaurant for chinese food I have ever been too, and I have been going for literally years now! The portions are amazing, and everything is super delicious. Everyone is so nice and kind, and the restaurant is super clean. I’d 10/10 recommend this place for anyone in the area, and I’m excited to buy more takeout from them yet again!

Teriyaki Chicken was Extremely Dry! Most awful Honey Chicken along with the other things we ordered! Best part of the meal was Fortune cookie SADLY! Horrible Customer Service!! Might I add we waited over 30 min on a Call-In order and watched all customers walk back out the place even placing orders within the store while I waited!! We drove over an hour to try this place out and VERY MUCH REGRETTED IT !!! WON'T BE BACK

Just went for carryout had bought food to feed 10 people. Not a sound while eating everyone asked where it's from and wanting more. Best food around by far no matter what you order. We had vegetable lo mein beef with broccoli general tso's chicken white rice and shrimp rolls.

I frequent this place often, mostly for carry out. I like their food, it's always fresh and hot. No canned or mushy vegetables. Good sized portions. It's a clean place with a clean restroom. Usually they are fast at taking and filling my order. Mostly I order by phone and foods hot and ready when I get there. This last visit I didn't call in and they were very busy so I had to wait. They have like cafeteria style tables and chairs and you can eat in there. 👍 I recommend it.

Love this place. The food is consistently good and there is plenty of it. I eat here about twice a month and only had one problem. Minor issue but they were very happy to come up with a fair resolution. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
