This place is not bad. Definitely the best in grand Rapids and I've been here 5 years. Great price and portions. Great family and all working in there. I'm happy going in and happy coming out of that place.

How does this place stay open? I ordered chicken lo mein and it tasted like the dirtiest fish that has ever laid on the beach for a week. I brought it back and the guy told me it's because I can't handle spicy food. Insisted on just giving me my money back. I order all my Chinese food 9 out of 10 hot so believe me, it's not me. So disgusting. I was really hoping this place would get better after all these years but somehow, some way, they are still in business. Blows my mind. I'm going to go throw up now.

This place is horrible. I ordered takeout from them, they gave me the wrong order, I sent the order back, he argued then accused me of eating items that wasn't in the bag. If i could give them 0 stars I would .They are reusing food that people bring back and it's a pandemic they don't care about thee contamination factor. Don't eat here they are disgusting.

Been coming here since 2005 always good food except last week I ordered roast pork and mushroom the pork was WAY over cooked. So I called and said some thing about it and they told me to bring the food back they can “inspect” it I guess I don’t know why it’s not like they are gonna bite into the leather pork they served me. So I waited 3 days and called in 4 entrees for my friends and family I showed up with the pork and mushroom and they were upset I don’t speak Chinese but I understand emotion and body language that man was mad every time I looked in his eyes he looked down or away. It’s ok to mess up food but it’s. Not ok to throw things and scream because you messed up. It Happens i know I’ve been cooking for years as a job. It’s a shame because you lost a customer of 15 years.

I thought it was horrible! I ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young with white rice and a shrimp egg roll. The egg roll tasted like a sweet roll! I asked she said yes little sugar!! More than a little. The gravy is very light in color and thick! Always had dark brown gravy?Yuck, never again.

I really wish they would get rid of this place. It’s one of the worst Chinese places I’ve ever been too. The food is awful! The quality is so bad... I’ve been here almost 10 times and it’s disgusting. I don’t know how they are still in business and why people still come here. I stay away from this spot.

The chicken is so chewy it’s almost inedible. The fried rice is white rice that is yellow.
We ordered a combo of general two fried rice and an egg roll for 9$ and got charged for each item separately totaling 15$. They would not correct the charge (we had paid via credit card) and did not tell us the total until pick up.

I will not go back to this chinese restaurant again. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice that taste a bit under cooked and the Shrimp were not evenly distributed. I had a container full of rice with all of the Shrimp at the top and a couple below the top and you found a couple in the upper middle and none in the middle or bottom..UK☹️ no more Grand Lakes for me...

I wonder if the restaurant has changed owners. I ordered take out last Saturday and the chicken was not fully cooked; thus I tossed it. This is the second time I’ve been disappointed. I was there during a busy time, but that is still no excuse.

Tasty food and lots of options. I'd recommend take out in the winter. It's pretty cold inside. The egg drop soup was a little too salty. Everything else I ordered was delicious.

Ordered them thru Grubhub and after 2.5 hours still didn’t receive my food. Nor me or Grubhub could get a hold of the restaurant bc they wouldn’t answer the phone got full refund and ordered from a soho and delivered 25 mins early!! Save urself 3 hours and done order from them!

Best General Tao’s In GR. Crab Rangoon is amazing. Everything else is average, definitely not fancy, they aren’t trying to be.
Saw a lot of complaints about it being “too cold”...this is a PICK-UP style Chinese place. If you are eating your meal there, that’s on you. It’s badically just a kitchen with some booths for people who decided not to call ahead and have to sit there and wait. Reading those reviews was irritating.
Super fast, never had a problem with getting what I ordered. Great “hole in the wall” Chinese place, but nothing fancy.

The kung Pao chicken was just gross. The sauce was bland and basically gravy. The chicken was tough and borderline disgusting. More celery than any Chinese dish should ever have. I guess I have had worse so I'll give it a 2. I can't recommend.

I thought Chinese food was over for me. I have been so much more into Thai food that I left behind the notion of American Chinese food. I was wrong - the food is fresh, well seasoned, and reminded me why Chinese food was my favorite as a kid.
It's in such a central location, I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

First off probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had, I mean it's like they weren't even trying. I froze my a$$ off while eating this bland contraption called "food" while watching my breath after every bite. I don't believe anything you could order would change your mind. This place has went downhill and this is our last order. My husband and I had the same flavorless sauce even though we ordered to different things. Fried rice looks like Spanish rice, nothing in it.

This was my first time getting food here, so my review is only based off of one experience. I had the shrimp with lobster sauce combo. They got my order wrong, for starters, but about the actual food: pros are that the egg roll was pretty good and the shrimp were a good size. Cons are that the fried rice seemed like it had been sitting out all day. It was dry and a bit crusty. It was rather bland and personally I like it when they put veggies and eggs in it, which this fried rice didn't have. The shrimp with lobster sauce had about 6 shrimp with about 12 peas, so about half the container was filled mostly with lobster sauce. So the next time I have a craving for Chinese, I'll be getting it elsewhere.
