My husband and I stopped here for quick dinner. It’s a simple restaurant with decent bathroom. We ordered triple delight and steamed dumplings. Large portions, good toasting food. Just wish they have fortune cookies with the meal like most Chinese restaurants do but overall it was a nice reasonably priced restaurant.

Excellent fresh and tasty food with fast excellent service! One of my favorite places and my go-to for American Chinese food in this area. Everything I have tried is at least good quality and flavorful. Love it here🥰

I have been visiting this location for years. I love their chicken wings. I haven't made a physical visit recently,but received a delivery today. The food was still hot and very tasty. I highly recommend this place. When I do visit,there's always customers waiting for their food compared to either Chins or kens. They for forget or don't add the requested ingredients that you paid for. Then the recent mention add a cost that is ridiculous. EASTERN IS MY BEST TOGO PLACE.

Came to Alexandria to stay at the Marriott to attend a concert at MGM, Google places to eat this place had 4.4 stars the other areas that I check were much lower, this Chinese restaurant serves the best food and is the cleanest Chinese restaurant I have ever visited.

KILLER steak and cheese subs!
Check the neighborhood Facebook group and you’ll see this place has been a Chinese carryout since at least the 1970s if not earlier. No idea how many times it’s been sold to new owners, but the current owners do a legit steak & cheese hoagie (lettuce, tomato, mayo), a staple of bulletproof carryouts all over the DC/MD region. I got the large ($12) and could not finish it, so two $6 steak & cheeses with A LOT of meat is a great deal. This is actual shredded ribeye, not the processed Steak Ums trash other places peddle. Just to emphasize my point, there was a Jerry’s Pizza down the block that sold some nasty cheesesteaks for years and they folded years ago, but Eastern Carryout remains.

I started going here for the decent Chinese food. However; I return for the chicken wings. They have fried chicken down to a science. Perfectly crispy and each bite leaves little to no flakes or crumbs. I don't even live in that area anymore but I go out of my way to come just for the fried chicken

They are fantastic! Egg rolls great, dumplings great, general tso great, rice great. We will be ordering again!!!

This was my first time ordering and the lady on the phone was so rude
they didn't get me the right change and deliberately didn't give me the receipt to check. The food also isnt worth the price. For a fried rice its about $7 for a little pint. They also basically forced to to give him a tip after saying" arnt you going to give me a tip" and when I hesitated he was so upset. I have been a regular customer at this place for a long time. The food is delicious and the customer service is good for the most part. Although I will say that I visited this place once and there were some kids running around unsupervised and they were being very noisy and loud. When I complained to the restaurant owner, she immediately told me that those were her children. Talk about putting my foot in my mouth. But the food is great and the prices are not bad either . We normally never order from a place that has american food and Chinese, but based on the reviews, gave it a go. Wow were we surprised. I got the combination Hunan and it was AMAZING. Hunan is my test for new places and they passed. We now have a new Chinese place!!
