Not sure but negative reviewers must be use to PF Chang or donāt know how Asian food is supposed to taste . This is the closest to authentic Asian cuisine in Broward and right up with Chinatown in NY . I highly recommend anything and everything on menu and you wonāt be disappointed.

Honest review for take out.
Not great, the fried rice had corn and little to no eggs. Im not sure if adding corn is a tactic to make it seem it had more egg. Never have I ever seen corn in fried rice. Also the chicken, honey garlic chicken; the chicken was place in a bag, as you can imagine the heat of the freshly fried breaded chicken, sweated and caused it to get extremely soggy. Which leads me to mention the amount of breading, now we all know that some restaurants go a bit over with the breading but this was on a whole new level, tiny piece of chicken for more then 50%of the batter. Won't be ordering from here again.

The computer shows that I was there two years ago but I was not I was there today and they said it was 15 minutes to sit me it took longer there was a table available and I was not seated .I just had the food to go if it was not for the fried rice that I enjoy .I just donāt believe they have A good type of quality of customers service.

I ordered lobsters with shrimp sauce, they sent me lobsters with shrimp soup and tasted like water,I have lobsters with shrimp sauce many times very good with good sources no in soup and the rice taste like water I put the whole food in the trash. New to area and this was my first attempt at local Chinese restaurants. The food did not smell fresh. The 2 items I chose seemed to have been cooked in old grease. The pan fried noodles seemed overcooked and hard. I prefer crunchy. I will not return. The staff were nice.

Sorry to say things are not looking good for this place it's gone down since covid. I ordered the Orange Beef and it was soaking in a ton of liquid which left the beef soggy it lost it's crispiness. Pork fried rice had no taste and everything was cold including the wonton soup. I have been long time customer of this place and have not been there since 2019. It got really bad I feel I was ripped off of my $32.00.

I use to frequent this restaurant quite a bit mainly because they served brown rice which is difficult to find at most Chinese restaurant in this areas Unfortunately, I placed an order from the early bird menu that offered brown rice. When I went to pick up my order it was not made with brown rice do I asked to have my order corrected. The lady who assisted me argued that what I read was not what it meant and told me that it could not be made with brown rice although I was willing to pay extra. Because of health issues I don't eat white rice, so I asked for a refund. Because I asked for a refund, I found out that they can no longer serve me. That's crazy!!!! I was not rude or disrespectful in anyway. I guess having a satisfied customer it's important to them.

I visit this restaurant often but I could tell they served me rice from an order another customer did not pick up because it was cold. The waiter offered to warm it up but I went there to eat fresh food, not food warmed up in the microwave. Did not tip. Based on today's visit, I do not recommend this restaurant.

I used to travel from Coconut Creek all the way to this Chinese restaurant because it was authentic and fresh and delicious. I had to redo my review because since then I've been a handful of times and it's just been a total disappointment period from the staff and the way that they treat you, to the cleanliness, and the quality of food all of it has declined! It's very unfortunate that I drove for so far so many times and it's been like this. I even brought friends with me the last 2 times thinking that I could show them this fabulous Chinese restaurant but the truth is I gave it several chances and it's gone downhill. At this point I'll never be back!

The only thing I don't like about dragon gate they always have a shortage of chicken wings it's been 6 months since they don't have any. Also for lunch combination orders they won't switch for vegetables fried rice instead of pork fried rice for the none pork eaters. Please dragon gate fix this matter and be more negotiable for your clientes choice of food selection the customer should be satisfied and always right. Be more like Chick-fil-A or it won't be looking good soon

The owner was very very rude. He fought with me about the order. Didn't understand what I was asking so he became bery abrupt and walked away. Then he refused to take my order. I have been coming here for over 10 years. I don't know if they changed owner but I will never go back. A customer should never be treated like a dog!!! Stay away!!!!!!!

The young girls upfront that give you your take out order are incredibly rude and have a lot attitude for no reason, besides that, this place is pretty good! The service was quick after we ordered. The food was pretty good. We ordered some orange chicken,which was delicious. We also ordered Beef Szechuan. The meat was pretty good. I also liked the fact that you could change the spice level. For example I asked if I could make the orange chicken with no spice. We dined in, the service was good. The food was good, but nothing too special. I had their house special udon, and it was great. Someone else in the group ordered one of the beef dishes under their spicy menu. However, it wasn't that spicy, and I don't even have a strong resistance to spice. In the mood for Chinese food, we decided to try a new place (for us) out because of the reviews it had received.
Located in Pembroke Pines, the restaurant features items from Hunan and Szechuan region. The menu is extensive and features a great selection of lunch specials.
The restaurant is following COVID-19 guidelines so there are fewer tables when dining in and the servers are all wearing masks and gloves.
It does seem to have a pretty good delivery/take out customer base (which is always a good thing cause it means the food is good)
The food didn't take long to arrive once the order was placed. The egg drop soup was yummy, the egg roll was good too.
We also ordered the special fried rice amd the honey chicken. The honey chicken actually had the honey syrup on the side which I thought a great idea. The chicken wasn't dry, either.
The only thing I didn't like was that the rice tasted a little burnt but no biggie, the overall experience was good.
The only waiter that was there was very knowledgeable and friendly and would stop by the table to check that everything was good.

Ordered via phone call. Short and sweet really, wasn't difficult or a long hold. What was orderd: the General Chicken (Medium spice but i'd recommend the next level up. If you like more heat, tasted regular to me), chicken w/deluxe vegetable, order of the chicken wings (a lot more saucy than expected). All the chicken dishes were alright. Not bad but nothing to sing about either. Had the pork fried rice instead of white and it was kind of dry. With duck sauce and chinese mustard, just fine. Lastly, the wonton soup...i was surprised to have as many wontons in the quart size. No issues with the soup either, it was tasty. Dragon gate will see me again.

Hands down, the highest quality Chinese food in the area. Weāve lived in a lot of different cities around the country and this is one of our top two places for mid range Chinese food that weāve ever patronized. Pricier than competitors for good reason. I've ordered from Dragon Gate several times and always been pleased. This last time I ordered shrimp fried rice and got just fried rice. When I called to have it taken off my bill, they told me I could drive to the restaurant with the other rice and get the shrimp fried rice in return. Well, lets see, I ordered delivery for a reason! When I asked to have it taken off my bill, they refused saying I had to send a picture and they would only give me a house credit. I will probably have my last free meal with them and that will be it. Customer service is extremely important, especially in our current economy, when so many businesses are going out.of business. You lost a customer who loves Chinese food and orders frequently, but maybe you don't need to keep customers.

Iām very disappointed in this place, the first time I ordered food it was great. I visited the place with my family twice to dine-in and the food was not what I expected, nor was the service. The food appears to be microwaved and very dry that you can easily tell it was not freshly cooked. I've been eating here for over 20 years. I found it to be the best Chinese food, at reasonable prices. However, I was unpleasantly surprised this last time. I placed my same order, Young Chow Special Fried Rice and Chicken with Broccoli. First thing, I had never seen the people at the front before. They must have been new. The man taking my order was rude and was rushing me while taking my order. After I got home, I saw that my order was completely wrong. I had specifically said, "white sauce" on the chicken broccoli, and they gave me brown sauce. Also, the Young Chow was clearly white rice and not brown rice like I requested and paid extra for. Also, it was horrible. It was watery and not enough ingredients to be Special Fried Rice. I called them and although they delivered another order of the Chicken with Broccoli, they argued that the Young Chow was brown rice. I gave the delivery man the Fried Rice and the original Chicken with Broccoli, to return to the restaurant with my note of dissatisfaction. Btw, the replaced Chicken with Broccoli didn't have white sauce, but an oily one. I believe this restaurant is under new management and after this horrible experience, I will not be going here anymore, nor do I recommend anyone to do so.

We ordered food for delivery and the girl told us that it's going to be an hour, however; after an hour and 10 minutes I called them to see why is the food delayed, she told us that she was going to call the driver to see where he is and call me back, which never happened. So 10 minutes later when I called her back to see what's going and why I never got a call back, she put me on hold and when she got back online, she informed me that the driver has just left. At that point it was already 15 minutes past the promised 1 hour and it's a 15 minutes drive from our house. We decided that we weren't going to pay for the order because by the time the driver would've gotten here, it would've been over 30 minutes late and we decided that it was unacceptable to wait for that long for food. I asked to talk to the owner at that point but to my surprise he was extremely rude and was trying to justify their mistake and turned the whole scenario against me that it was our fault because we said that we weren't going to pay for it once it got here, so he just cancelled the order and turned the driver around.

I've been there before and its normally good. I order a pint of chicken fried rice today...and to my surprise I could smell how burnt the rice was before I even opened it. Extremely disappointed because this could've been caught before putting in a bag and handing to me. Whats crazy is that the majority of the rice doesn't look burnt, the smell is just overwhelming...like burnt popcorn. We ordered from Dragon Gate tonight because our usual place is now closed on Tuesday. We ordered a side of steamed veggies, because the orange peel shrimp doesn't have any veggies aside from a leaf of iceberg lettuce - which is insane for nearly $15.00 and we never got the vegetables. Everything was swimming in sauce. The rice is dry. This place is way overpriced for what you get. Disappointed.

Tried it for the first time tonight. The rice both white and fried was so burnt you smelled it coming out of the bag. The pepper steak had great flavor but was 80% peppers and onions 20% steak. The moo goo gai pan HAD NO FLAVOR and also mostly vegetables. The wonton soup was delicious so that got them 2 stars.

The food was alright nothing to special about it. Went with a group of friends and for some reason my order was the only thing they messed up, twice. When i tried to ask how come they messed it up twice they simply told me "its coming just wait". Was not pleased at all with the overall experience, and would not recommend to anyone. They constantly mess up my phone order. I called over the phone and asked for hot sauce. My girl confirmed in person if ask there was hot sauce? and the staff said yes. First time trying this place out and Iām glad I tried it out! The delivery service was 45 to one hour, which I was okay with. The driver was super friendly and nice! The food itself was great! I ordered the lunch combination Sesame Chicken with fried rice and an order of plain lo mein. I loved how I was able to make the chicken spicy when itās not normally spicy. The smell of the food made me even more hungry than I already was! The lo mein is soooo good that I can just eat that by itself. The sesame chicken had a lot of flavor in it since they cooked the sauce with the chicken! Will be definitely ordering from them again!

I just spent $61.00 plus in food here. When I got home the pepper steak was packed 75% full of onions, a few 4-5 chunks of green pepper and at the very bottom a few pieces of steak. When I called the girl who answered the phone basically suggested it was my fault.
I should ask for less onions and more steak, because onions take up alot of space. And I should do so the next time I order. Not going to even start in on 8 mini shrimps in the special fried rice.
Inspect the hell out of your food before you walk out the restaurant. Do not expect customer service once you have paid and left.

This used to be my go to Chinese restaurant but I had a very bad experience and the management had a very poor attitude about the situation. I ordered a pre dinner combo meal to go. When I got home the pork rice had a horribly rancid taste. I took one bite and called the restaurant and was told that only rice that is ordered a la carte is made fresh. She stated that if I wanted a refund I would need to bring back the food, including the egg roll and soup that came with the combo. Luckily, I didn't even bother with the soup (which I usually eat first) because the taste of the rice was so bad. With rancid rice and poor service, i am never going back!

The food isn't bad here. It takes authentic and it's consistent. I usually order delivery and they are super fast with it. Never disappoints.

We tried this place after not going for years. Everything was fine until my husband found a plastic wrapper in his food. Then, we took home left overs and my daughter found a big piece of plastic in her lo mein. What gives Dragon Gate?? In a hurry to get plates out from the back? Gross!!!

I've been ordering from Dragon for several years after looking for at least 'decent' Chinese takeout locally. I have happily recommended this spot to my non-local foodie friends and they keep coming back. The food is deliciously fresh and customer service is more than I can ask for. I've tried a variety of dishes based on staff recommendations and have always been highly delighted. Yes, a little pricier than your local takeout but there's a valid reason why this restaurant remains as busy as it does. Why 4 stars? I wish they were open on Mondays too.

I am a foodie and I have been to many, many Chinese restaurants. This place is outstanding. The food is superb. I just had Lotus roots with jumbo shrimp. What a delicacy! The prices are very reasonable, the portions are huge and the service is attentive without being obstructive. Food quality, presentation and value meet at this place.

Very nice ownership. The food on the main menu is mostly mainstream and attracts the century village early birds. However, they have a Chinese menu with more authentic dishes and good specials. So you can get very good food here, you just have to ask for the Chinese menu. A standout dish is their fish and tofu casserole served boiling in a clay pot. Steamed whole fish with ginger and scallion is a wonderful staple. See gua with pork is delicious. Tofu with dun goo (black mushrooms) is very yummy. I enjoy their bbq ribs. Also, their Peking Duck is lovely. My regular staple is vegetable hot and sour soup. Also, they generally will have seasonal chinese vegetable available like snow pea tips, baby bok choy, and lotus root.
They host a Chinese New Year celebration with dragon dance every year in their parking lot. That is always a lot of fun.

I have dined in this restaurant on several occasions and enjoyed their food as well as their service. I thought I would receive the same service for delivery..........WRONG! The meal was called in at 7:56PM and I was informed it would arrive in "about" 45 mins to an hour. Finally at 9:10PM there was a knock at my door. When I advised the delivery woman that I was no longer interested in what was more than likely cold shrimp fried rice, she became a bit angry and wanted to know why I didn't call to cancel. I advised, "the very same reason your restaurant didn't call me and advise my meal would be arriving later than expected."

First time ordering. Will not order again. I ordered mushroom beef but got sesame beef. The beef was fried and not well, you could taste the flour and I am gluten free so that was not good. The egg drop was very good. The other two dishes we ordered did not taste good and were cold.

They are normally good as I've used ordered from them in the past. However, today they mixed up my order and delivered the wrong thing and then we had to wait an hour before receiving the correct order with no additional accommodations except "sorry". Oh and they asked that we pay the difference for their mess up?! No longer ordering from them. Taking this as a lesson learned!

I ate the best sauteed string beans EVER in my life at this restaurant for dinner. Price is very affordable. The waitress was polite. The dish was served in a timely manner. I would be back often but unfortunately I don't live near this restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion.

We have family that works at the Pinch-A-Penny store in the same shopping center and they order from here all the time. It's great Chinese food. Once the "Kimchi Mart" opens in the same shopping center this will be a great one-stop shop for all things Chinese.

I got to say something after 22 years of buying food from this place. STOP ordering from this place, i just did today 8/21/2016... No more aggravations nor poor quality food anymore.. Richard the restaurant manager/owner is an unappreciative person and he does not care for good service anymore. Today I ordered the last time after 22 years and honestly it was the last time of so many and so many bad food and delivery service that I've paid for.. People don't think because you had been a good long time costumer for this people they will tried at least to please you or take care of you.. No,No No. Richard wont care, go spent your money elsewhere else. 22 years won't count for this people they just care about $$$. Good luck Richard you had lost a good customer who was spending over $120.00 a month and over $ 1200.00 a year.

I oculdn't choose anything between like and love, so I went with love. The food is very good and you can taste the freshness. They also have authentic Chinese food, but I just stuck with the regular American version of Chinese food. I like it very much and pretty sure we will back.

This has to be the most awful chinese food i have ever tasted, The rice taste like criolle burnt rice, and they are super expensive, I thought I would get a good meal for what i ordered. A quart of fried rice, 4 egg rolls, a quart of mongolian beef and a soup 65 dollars. I normally order from china house and they are really good, decided to change up a bit to see if i can find that great new tork style chinese food, and ended up with a high priced low quality curry styled flavored fried rice and a disatisfied way of 65 dollars spent.

2 different tofu dishes- both were very weird. The tofu was leathery and sweet- if you're unfamiliar with tofu, it's not supposed to be that way. The veggie egg rolls were bland

really bad sweet and sour chicken and also the sweet and sour sauce. One of the worst I've eaten. The batter is not crispy at all. Plus they said it was going to take 1 hour for delivery and they took 1 hour and a half without even calling for the delay. the rices, and shrimp chop suey were also not as good. The white rice was ok but the special fried rice was semi dry and burned in some parts. This place is way overrated!

So I ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch special just to be told that:
You have to pay extra for the sweet and sour sauce (which I didn't).
When they handed me my takeout bag apparently there was sweet and sour sauce in the bag, so while I'm walking back to my car the staff RUNS out after me and literally rips the sweet and sour sauce out of my bag. "You didn't pay for this!", the woman yells at me... I didn't say I word except "Take your sauce".
Now I'm thinking, when I get home this food better be good.
Then I did.
The "lunch" special wasn't actually a lunch special it was about half the size of a typical takeout chinese food lunch special. The chicken was overcooked and bland, while the rice was disgusting... It literally tasted like cigarettes.
They didn't include an egg roll or soup and didn't give me a fork, but were thoughtfully deceptive enough to put the fortune cookie and napkins in an egg roll sleeve so when you peek into the bag you think there's an actual egg roll.
I would NEVER recommend going there, Chinese food is too common of a commodity to deal with such nonsense.

This is the first time I have ordered Chinese food here in Pembroke Pines...the Crab Rangoon was terrible, it had a strange sour flavor and had no sweet crab cream cheese flavor at all. I also ordered General Tso chicken which was one of the worst I have ever had. The flavor was weak and there was very little chicken to rice ratio. The delivery was very quick and the delivery man was very good, unfortunately the food was not.

This place was recommended to us by a coworker so we decided to try their delivery. The girl taking our order and the driver were polite. But, the food was disappointing. The BBQ ribs had a flavorful sauce but were made of the southern style pork ribs, not the traditional spare ribs. Our General's chicken and orange beef were in a very thin sauce which left them soggy and mushy. Even the white rice was dry. We won't be trying them again.

Went there on 5/10/14 and had a delicious meal which included soup, a couple of dishes and half a Peking Duck, I raved about it to my family and promised to bring them there..
Visited with my family on 5/20/14, we ordered a whole Peking Duck which was not crispy, greasy, and was actually lukewarm, the other dishes were bland and not enjoyable.
It felt like they had 2 different chefs or there was no consistency in their cooking.
Excitement turned to disappointment, I will not be returning.

Ordered delivery for lunch. Food arrived within 30 minutes. THE KRAB RANGOONS...so delish, crisp and crunchy on the outside then the creamcheese melted in my mouth. So good. THE SESAME CHICKEN lunch portion was huge. Chicken was fresh (not chewy like most Chinese restaurants I know) and all white chunklets dipped in tasty orange sauce with sliced (not diced) garlic. VEGGIE EGG ROLLS were okay, but I'm more of a rangoon girl.
So glad I work near this place. Completely satisfies my Chinese food cravings.
