So…After the re-opening of Imperial Dragon for Chinese take-out food, in East Simi Valley, we tried them twice in a row. However, they barely scored above average, so we decided to revert and fully commit to Bao Su A - for our go-to Chinese take out, going forward.
Last night, we ordered their Hot & Sour Soup (excellent), Egg Rolls (excellent), Vegetable Fried Rice (excellent), General Chou’s Chicken (excellent), and BBQ Pork (excellent). The order took less than 20 minutes from order to ready. The serving portions were generous, the quality of preparation was off-the-chart!
Why we felt compelled to try another place was only motivated by a long-term allegiance to Imperial. Imperial is very good, but for great, our choice is Bao Su A!
This place is far from cheap, but then again that’s what Panda Express is for!

My wife and I were told by my niece that the food was good, so we gave it a try. We both enjoyed our appetizers, and both of our main dishes were served family style. Both were tasty, with leftovers for another meal. Cost is reasonable. Service was good.

Ordered a large takeout order for my birthday dinner tonight. It was our first time trying this place. Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the website says I can take 1-2 hours for delivery and it was here in less than 45 minutes. Probably closer to 30. I was so impressed and delighted for a great Chinese dinner. Happy birthday to me 😊😊

I had a yen for egg foo yung which is not a regular menu item at thus restaurant. I asked and was told they could make it. When the food was done there were two large take out contsiners and when I got the food home I opened it to fond a mess of scrambled egg overcooked patties of flavorless mess. Paid $21.95 for a single order. Was never so disappointed! Learned my lesson....if not on the menu that means it's likely not something that they do well!

Excellent lunch. The hot and sour soup had great flavor. The spring rolls were surprisingly good. I usually don't like spring rolls.

The food is amazing, the staff is awesome, I highly recommend trying it. They have great milk drinks but not an option for soy or oat. However, the drinks are still worth it for my lactose intolerant people.

We ordered 4 items. 2 were just okay, the dim sum items bbq pork bun and spicy wonton are hands down the worst we ever had in our lifetime. The wonton have very thick wrappers and very tiny portion of un fresh tasting meat. The bbq pork tasted very strange. Boarder line inedible.
We usually don’t leave bad reviews unless the establishment has really bad service but the food just blew our mind.

Food was delicious and they had no problem adding on some egg rolls when I showed up to pick up my order. I only had to wait 5 minutes for the extra food. Great service, great food, great price, will go here again for sure!

I've eaten at Szechuan Garden, Red Szechuan, Golden Tiger, you name it. Bao Sua is my favorite restaurant in the Citadel - I mean Simi Valley. They don't pull their punches on flavor to cater to milder palates, and the menu is deep enough to keep me trying new and interesting things. When they ask you how spicy you want something, they mean it. Tread with caution but eat with an adventurous spirit.

Really like this place. Very tasty food and usually fast service. A few times during delivery and pick up service only due to Covid, there seemed to be issues resulting in very long waits, but they were the exceptions, not the rule in my experience. Good food and normally food is delivered at the time quoted.

If I could give zero stars I would! I ordered from this place, everything started out fine. My dasher got there and they cancelled ALL delivery orders after I had already paid and been waiting for over an hours. Some woman that worked there was very rude to my dasher as well. If this is how this place does business, I want no part of it! These places are a dime a dozen! Never again! 🖕🏻

This is a great, quality alternative from the typical over salted, over sauced “fast food” style places. We LOVED the chicken fried rice, broccoli beef and wonton soup! Great service and great food. I’d have given five stars, but the hot and sour soup was not up to my Mom’s expectations. I’ll definitely keep this among my favorites though!

We picked up our order due to covid-19. They weren’t doing deliveries. They set our food out on a table outside restaurant entrance and went inside and locked their doors and then called us to let us know we could get out of our car to grab our food. It was strange and I think there could have been a better way of doing this. I was not impressed. It wasn’t awful but it definitely wasn’t that good. I had the fried chicken dumplings and sour & spicy soup and my boyfriend had the chicken dumpling soup. The dumplings I got were soft and they seemed like they were boiled and not fried and crispy on the outside like they are supposed to be. The soups were so hot that we poured them into a bowl and it took 30 minutes to cool down enough to eat. The flavor of the dumplings were bland. I would prefer to get pot stickers at the junkyard (pretty good too) than get them here. I wont be returning for dumplings again. There are much better places to find them.

Considering it’s located in Simi, it’s probably one of the best Chinese places I’ve been to. The reason, it just tastes fresh. The fried rice is simple and delicious. The pork mushu is fantastic and the sauce is amazing. 100% recommend. My wife and i go here often and have never been disappointed. I should probably mention my wife is a vegetarian and can’t eat gluten, and super picky.

This place is for real. The pork bao were so good and cooked just right. All the ingredients used in this restaurant are fresh, from the fish to the vegetables. I ate with a large party, so we had the opportunity to try lots of different things. Obviously, I didn't get a picture of everything that I tried. It was a rather amazing experience. The staff is attentive and the large tables have a big, glass lazy Susan, which is always a good time when you have 10 people at a table. I'm most definitely going back, and very likely also ordering take away from here.

First off its hard to find chinese restaurant that serve fresh vegetable or meat. It seems like its not a busy place but i have visited 5 times to check if the place is serving bad product. Both meat and veg was fresh, taste was pretty up there (authentic plus little fusion to accommodate general population) great value food.

Good flavors, great hot and sour soup, but the menu changed. I wanted roast duck with vegetables, I also wanted pork intestine on sizzle plate, but they no longer have those. The steamed soup dumplings that looks like their picture on the wall now looks and tastes like frozen store bought ones.
If you want a taste of Taiwan...not it.

Wonderful food in a cozy and comfortable setup. I can say that this is the best Chinese food joint in and around the Simi valley. I liked the following menus: dumplings with pork and chicken, cashew nuts Chicken, fish and chips, Kung Pao chicken (believe me it's nothing like panda ). Also I liked the meloned flavored soft drink. I go to this place once in a month or so

First time here but I would give them a 5-star no problem. Not just for their food but for their services well and very kind explaining the menu. I have the filet mignon dish and their chef special fried rice and the Lotus bun. All was very wonderful and very tasty

Ordered postmates at this place, they accept the order in literally <1s and make sure I cannot cancel the order. And they prepared the order for >1.5hr for a scrambled egg??? WOW! Pretty authentic Chinese flavors for Simi Valley! Tasty family style dishes without having to drive to the Valley.
Just one thing: Peking Duck Special is much more expensive compared to other Chinese places (they charged for extra pancakes if you run out).

Food was OK but needed a lot more spice. Disappointed they charge for white rice and they would only bring one small bowl (barely a single serving, if that) even when a few were askkng for it, and even after our party ordered 12+ entree dishes. No rice at all came with any of the platters even though many (most) are traditionally served over or with rice. It will be a while before I take a private party there again. They lose BIG over a few pennies worth of rice!

Our family decided to check out this new place. Your duck has to be ordered at least an hour and a half ahead of time. We were having Peking Duck 3 ways which meant 2nd dish was bean sprouts fried with duck meat and 3rd dish being duck soup. The food was delicious and on par. We also ordered the bbq eel with sticky rice, a popular Taiwanese dish. I would order that again as it was so good and it hits the spot during lunch time.
We left the restaurant very satisfied.
We will be back for more of the same.

Pork with dried hot peppers and chilanto was mostly dried peppers. Not like the photo in the menu. I showed the waitress and she said that was how the cook made it. Steamed rice was extra and in a tiny bowl. There are better Chinese restaurants in Simi. Photo is of the left over peppers after I had eaten a lot them with the pork.
